IMAGO ARTIST STATEMENT

IMAGO is a sculptural series that culminated from years of working on a light table with macro compositions.  Benjamin discovered a way to free the slides from man-made light sources, making them archival.  Benjamin carved stone and encased the original compositions in casting resin, transforming the compositions into free-standing sculptures.
